NAME
Welcome to the Nepal Association of Medical Editors (NAME)
NAME pronounced (“nhammy”) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-political and non-profit organization of editors of peer reviewed bio-medical journal of Nepal that strives to raise the quality and standard of medical journal and research publication in the country.
The mission of NAME is to contribute to the improvement of health in Nepal and abroad by ensuring the quality and dissemination of health-related information published in medical journals, utilized for the purposes of better decision-making and effective delivery of health services.
NAME seek to foster international cooperation among and education of medical journal editors. NAME membership is open for editors of peer-reviewed bio-medical journals. Membership is also available to the individual medical journals. It also provide associated membership to all the international bio-medical journal editors and for individual trained in medical journal editing, who could be future perspective editors.
NAME is the member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), UK.

Feb 17, 2012: A joint consensus statement by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and BMJ on research misconduct in the UK has been published both on the COPE and BMJ web sites.
